“Being True To Artistry”

“Satyamev Jayate” National Art Exhibition
{ सत्यमेव जायते राष्ट्रीय कला प्रदर्शनी }
10th-12th January,2019
“Satyamev Jayate” is no ordinary phrase for India. Originating from a mantra from our ancient and sacred Upanishads, it means “Truth alone prevails” and is the national motto of India inscribed at our national emblem, all our institutions and our currency.  As Swami Vivekananda rightly said “It is truth alone that gives strength” and it is this belief that gives the strength of character and sincerity to persevere in the path of virtue, righteousness and self-realization braving all obstacles and pushing away the fake mirages of lies. As art is the mirror of the artist’s soul, the artist who pours the honesty and virtue of one’s character into one’s art, is the one whose art shines through and prevails and is respected in times to come. As India prepares to celebrate her Republic Day, the day this became our national motto, celebrated curator Ms Erum Khan brings forth her 18th exhibition “Satyamev Jayate”

Artists participating in her exhibition will bring forth the truth, honesty and perseverance of their heart and soul in the form of their creations celebrating the ethos of civilization itself.
